Truffles and Mushrooms
Truffles are one of the most iconic and in demand fungi. They are incredibly scarce and rely on many external factors, such as climate and oak trees to grow. They can be used in all aspects of cooking, from being a dish's star ingredient, to being used as seasoning. Other exotic mushrooms are now grown in South Africa to a high standard. These mushrooms have healing and cleansing properties, and are used around the world as a natural medicine.
Maison Pebeyre was founded in 1897 and is the oldest truffle family business. This company specialises in all truffle-related products, from various truffle species to truffle salts and oils.
